As Portfolio Analyst at Catella APAM, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-led decision-making across our asset management functions by delivering high-quality, insightful analysis and reporting across multiple client mandates and asset classes.

You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and presenting data related to our property portfolios, helping our team make informed decisions and optimise asset performance.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for real estate who can deliver reporting across multiple mandates, ensuring quality, timely and informative reports.

We’re looking for someone who is technically proficient, with strong attention to detail and able to interpret and communicate data to a range of stakeholders while working closely with our Asset Management team. Long term growth opportunities from this role can include asset management, investment management, leading on our data management functions and more.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

Mandate Delivery:

  • Management of key mandates reports and data analysis to ensure quality and timely work is issued.
  • Lead on own report production through to presentation for client delivery and maintaining high-quality
  • outputs.
  • Build and run financial models, including asset-backed and corporate-backed models, to track asset and
  • portfolio-level performance against stated business plan targets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of own mandates, including key metrics, portfolio details and future
  • strategy.
  • Monitor and analyse third party performance.
  • Assist with the execution of new loans and management of existing loans.
  • Identify, recommend and drive improvements and efficiencies in processes.

Report and Tracker Management:

  • Develop and maintain reporting standards and templates.
  • Manage trackers for performance, NOI and return metrics, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

Ad Hoc Analysis:

  • Provide analysis to support refinancing, acquisitions, repurposing and/or disposition of investments.
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess potential projects.
  • Analyse new deals, including scenario and sensitivity testing.
  • Propose transaction structure, including pricing, leverage, and security.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Qualifications and experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in real estate data analysis, portfolio analysis and reporting.
  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) in a related business or analytical subject such as finance, mathematics,
  • economics, science, engineering or real estate (desirable)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • High standards of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Presentation & communication skills - able to interpret and explain complex information to clients,
  • stakeholders and colleagues
  • Strong technical skills including predictive modelling and data visualisation
  • Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment.
  • Team-player with adaptable and flexible approach to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key skills:

  • Excellent business user of MS Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced use of Excel including but not limited to: IF, Lookup and Index/Match Functions/Pivot tables/Data

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (e.g. travel, unsocial hours)

  • Normal Hours of work for this role are 5 days a week 9.00 am – 5:30 pm based in the Company’s London
  • office
  • Hybrid working policy with 1 day per week WFH in addition to ad hoc requests
  • Must be flexible and able to work extended hours as likely necessary on occasion.
