ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Analyst at Catella APAM, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our asset management operations by providing insightful and actionable data-driven reports and analysis. Supporting Asset Managers on client facing mandates, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and presenting data related to our property portfolios, helping our team make informed decisions and optimise asset performance. You will also act as a bridge to the investment team, working to provide investment insights through analysis of our assets under management.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for real estate who can demonstrate that they can lead reporting across multiple mandates, ensuring quality, timely and informative reports are delivered, whilst supporting junior analysts to develop.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
Mandate Ownership and Delivery:
- Oversight of all mandates reports and data analysis to ensure quality and timely work is issued.
- Lead report production through to presentation for client delivery, managing contributions and maintaining high-quality outputs.
- Comprehensive understanding of own mandates, including key metrics and portfolio details.
- Monitor and analyse third party performance
- Provide analysis to support refinancing, acquisitions, and/or disposition of investments.
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess potential projects
- Build and run financial models, including asset-backed and corporate-backed models
- Assist with the execution of new loans and management of existing loans
- Analyse new deals, including scenario and sensitivity testing
- Propose transaction structure, including pricing, leverage, and security
Process Improvement and Efficiency:
- Bring and implement improvements that support production of dynamic and versatile data and drive team efficiency and accuracy
- Lead pilot reporting automation project and liaise with key project stakeholders across the Catella Group
Mentoring and Team Leadership:
- Serve as a mentor and resource for junior team members, with oversight of work to enable guidance and development support.
- Share knowledge, lead by example, and be a point of reference for complex queries and challenges.
Report and Tracker Management:
- Develop and maintain reporting standards and templates.
- Oversee trackers for performance, NOI and return metrics, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in real estate data analysis, portfolio analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- High standards of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills including assessing team performance, developing goals and team targets and ensuring they are met
- Presentation & communication skills - able to interpret and explain complex information to clients, stakeholders and colleagues
- Advanced technical skills including predictive modelling and data visualisation
- Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment.
Key skills:
- Excellent business user of MS Office software including Word, Excel, Power Query, PowerBI and PowerPoint
- Intermediate to advanced use of Excel including but not limited to: IF, Lookup and Index/Match Functions/Pivot tables/Data visualisation
